Ok Ok Ok I'll tell you......
Since I'm not really an expert in jewellery.....I had to call a friend of mine whose judgment I trust.
That day it was all great since it was something I've never done before. Moving from one shop to the next, searching, looking and feeling the best of them all. Yeah!! of course at a reasonable price. I mean I'm black so there is going to be a lot of spending before everything is officialised.
Anyway...the day came and we planned a dinner out at a fancy semi-formal restaurant.
On our way, me's tryin' to act all crazy as if nothing is special about the date. I just made it to feel like a normal day. Me and my almost red shirt tacked in perfectly, shining formal shoe, hair perfectly shaved.
In my hand?...a red bag with a small box from a jewellery shop.
We ordered........chat...........drank red champagne......chat and ate the delicious food. Whilst eating it was time for her to see what's in the small box inside that red bag.
**Baby.........I think it's time for you to open your present***I said with a big shaking beautiful smile.........
Sittin' there at that private corner with some dim lights, she slowly took the red bag..............opened it.................took out the box............Red small box..........ribbons.......untie.......removed the top part......................and yes
it was time for a change....................
time for something different.................
time to get what she deserved................
time for something white gold................
time for ..................a new per of earrings :-)....Hahahahah!!!!
Come on I know you did not think I can give it just like that.....:-)
I sat next to her as she tried them earrings on.....damn they looked so good on her better than when they were in the box.
They look great on you**I started*** I knew that you were meant for great things, b’cause you’s a great woman***I feel special around you, I don't wanna say pick up lines but damn baby you are a wonderful, understanding, loving..............person, ***more words withheld***
Hey can I sing you a song? ***Interrupting my words intentionally**
"YES" she replied......................and since I ain't no bad singer, I started singing a song of a man who's tired of playin' and in need and ready to settle down.
"There comes a time for every man
Must put his playin' dayz behind for good
That's what I am
It took a while to understand
But you kept sayin’ that if I tried you knew I could
So here I am
I can talk about my feelings
I can sing them to the world……….
You’ll always be my girl.
Girl wear this ring
Make it official
Make me happy
Bring me joy…….”
.......Night and Day - Girl wear this ring”
By then I was already on my knee...........
Looking straight into her eyes,............lips,........ hair,...........nose,............eyebrows,..........eye lashes....... and admiring her dark beautiful African clear skin.
My hand slowly moved into my pocket...........I grabbed it..........felt the importance and the meaning of it.
I took it out.............suddenly there!!......was a change in the brightness of that corner.........It was no brighter but sparkling............
She looked at that blazing diamond and me?.......I was looking at her eyes and I said......................***Ke kgopela o nyale****I said....looking at the tears of joy rainin' down her chicks.” YES!!!!!....YES!!!!!...Ke nyaka o nyale" She said with an undoubted tone, face and smile.
Man I rap you...................that was the day.................I kissed a person who was my girlfriend 5 minutes back whom is now my fiancée.
We officially engaged.
